Las Vegas, Starving For Water
Nevada is loaded with water, Las Vegas is not...thus, the plan to build a pipeline from the middle of the state to the south of the state is gaining speed.
The water level at Lake Mead continues to drop, and if it falls another 23 feet, this could actually HELP the case to get the pipeline built ASAP. Politics is still critical to this issue. Property and water rights owners in the middle of the state are resisting selling their water to the business interests in the south. Bottom line....when the price gets high enough, the water will pour.
Here's the latest from the Las Vegas Review Journal.
